together with our client we have developed the concept of a modern budget hotel which fulfills the needs of the modern traveller and offers an emotional experience. the site is the former volksheim in the city of schwaz in tyrolia. essential, pure and refined are the keywords for the design.
the façade is inspired by the tyrolean modernists and shows an efficient concept can look different to the usual appearaence of hotel facades. a ramp leads the guests towards the entrance and into the lobby. the ground level has a reception area with adjacent business corner and a breakfast restaurant/café. the rooms are small but individually designed.
flexible details like an variable bed and a multifunctional desk mirror the design concept of flexibility throughout the building. the rooms evoke a spacious feeling which is intensified by placing the shower into the room. the open bathroom is naturally lighted.
