Extension Hotel Tulbingerkogel
ZEIT 1994 – 2015
the one of a kind view from the tulbingerkogel always attracted people – even adalbert stifter was enjoying it. in the 1930´s the hotel was built by a local builder and went into the posession of the current owner, the bläuel family.
archisphere has carefully extended the new wing which houses six rooms „with a view“, a seminar and event space and a wellness area. when the shutters are closed the facade blends in the surrounding forrest because it has trees printed on it. the facade alienates the building with an ironic mimikry of the natural forrest while the parapets of the balconies – made of untreated accacia – slowly assume the color of the beechtrunks next to the hotel.
the specifics of the site have influenced the design of the wellness area and the pool with its long and narrow basin dissolving into the sky at its southern edge. the sauna, the turkish bath, showers and a kneipp basin are taken together in a sculptural orange body which stands as a solitary and space defining object in the warm and otherwise calm wellnessarea.
In 2014/2015 redesigned the Interiors and Furniture for the restaurant.
