this project was realized in walding near linz and combines two different characters so we see it rather as two different houses stacked on top of each other than one house. the two levels are connected via an open airspace. the upper level is lofty and light and opened towards the garden with large glass walls.
the base level is massive and more closed. light is provided by seven carefully positioned windows in the wall which frame the deliberately selected views. the interior is mostly made of natural materials and the open floor plan creates a generous space which suits the varying needs of its inhabitants.
